What happens next
- We record it in our complaints and feedback register and keep it confidential.
- We acknowledge it within 2 business days (unless you stayed anonymous).
- Serious matters are reported. If a complaint says a child was harmed or put at risk, or the law was broken, we tell the Queensland Regulatory Authority within 24 hours, as the law requires. An allegation that a worker harmed a child is also reported to the Queensland Family and Child Commission within 3 business days. Child protection concerns go to Child Safety, and crimes to the police.
- We look into it fairly — we may talk with you, the educator and anyone else involved.
- We tell you the outcome, usually within 14 days, and what we’ve changed as a result.
- Not satisfied? Ask for it to be reviewed by the approved provider, or contact the regulator (details below).
